Friday

In line with the #instagram hashtag this weekend #helpinghands I'm posting about non profit contribution.

Most familiar is the Combined Federal Campaign.

Search Facebook for their page dedicated to promoting non profits.  2014 was the beginning of a new campaign #IWillListen.

Rehab projects are also important.  Thinking about the condition of our public gathering places reminds me of the contributions needed by food banks, houses of worship, along with other places that serve the needy and function as soup kitchen and pantry.  Imagine being in need with mouths to feed, having no where to turn besides a run down over used building operating as shelter.  Drafty. Condemned.  Not suitable for use but kept open and out of sight just for serving.   It's miserable enough knowing these places are the only means for providing shelter and meals for the misplaced, do these people in need to be ashamed further by the poor building conditions of these places?

I believe some of the voices are being heard.  Just this week the local  paper ran an article about DC bringing their presence to cities that need management help.  See the attached article here:

Now how do the bread winners deal with all the lack luster reality of dying dreams and political character & defamation entertainment plots? How do we do gooders stay positive when disinterest evolves, connections fail to launch with who matters.  Not trying to #guilttrip or stage a protagonist break up or anything like that.  Just trying to add vigor to the apron that gets put on when it's time to ditch a diseased prospective about ways to serve, how we may already be serving or plans to expand.
